The greeting and reply goes something like this…
“How are you?”, “I’m great” then we smile and walk off. But why? Many times, deep down we are not happy we are hurting. We are walking down the halls of our church and office, but feel we need to portray an attitude of joy. What can we do to be honest with each other?

I was a drug dealer that lived the life of the prodigal son. One night as I was hidding out from a motercycle gang until lightning struck my house and an angel of the Lord appeared and told me I was to turn from my ways and build an orphanage in Africa. Ok none of that happened to me, but as I wrote it I was thinking exciting story it really was. My real story is that I grew up in the church and realized at a youth rally that Jesus was not Lord of my life. The bad things I did were keeping from a relationship with Jesus. On that night I surrendered my life and accepted Jesus as my sacrifice. As a result, I now have meaning in purpose in my life.
In the eyes of the world that is not “exciting,” but the truth is it is my story and it is what Christ did for me (and you). That in itself is exciting, and it is all I need to share Him with the world. Many times we look at the “greener grass” when we should be thankful Christ died for us. That is what is exciting, the Lord of the Universe wanted a relationship with me.
Who have you shared your story with recently.

1 Samuel 1 is the story of Hannah and Samuel. The goal of a Christian parent is to work ourselves out of a job. We are stewards of our children, and as we raise them our goal should be to release them to God. It is that balance of protection and release.

The resturant that is never open on Sundays, is the one we crave on Sundays. You probably have been there. You are want a really good chicken sandwich and it is Sunday Afternoon. As you pull up to the drive through to your favorite fastfood, you notice how empty the resturant is. Then it hits you, its Sunday and Chick-Fil-a is not open. Whats a hungry person supposed to do? Guess we have to go for the Big Mac

Why is it that Christians wear robes for everything. Many denominations the minister wears robes as they preach. At our church we wear robes when we baptize. Yet as I think about it there is no explanation to why this takes place. Does anyone know?

You know it is true. If you grew up int he church, chances are you spent the night at a retreat center or camp that could have been featured on an episode of Friday the 13th. It even brings up fears as I write this. Yet the most ironic part of this is, even as adults we send our children off to the same camps.

Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the light.” He is not a way He is the way.
